our new $4 crock-pot from Julia's garage sale and the first meal it inspired: italian pot roast, pinenut couscous and orange cornmeal cake for dessert.

ode to a great restaurant in Venice: julia's food - poached eggs, soft polenta, braised cavolo nero & crisp bacon, stephen's food - duck sausage, nameko mushroom, garlic & mozzarella pizza, joe's food - tuna conserva sandwich, caper aioli, pickle, roasted pepper, arugula & olive bread, tina's food - roasted summer squash, cherry tomato, swiss chard, charmoula & sunny eggs.
